RENNE, postmaster and druggist, Marshfield [Wood County, Wisconsin], was born 27 June 1855 near Potsdam, St. Lawrence County, New York. In 1861 his father, Henry RENNE, moved to the town of York, Clark County, Wisconsin, where he [Henry RENNE] died in 1864. Edward S. RENNE had no facilities for an education, as he lived on the frontier. He was employed as clerk in a store and post office at Nasonville [Rock Township, Wood County, Wisconsin] some time, and then came to Marshfield in March 1877. In July 1877 he was appointed Postmaster, which office he still holds. He also keeps a stock of drugs and groceries. On 01 October 1876 he [Edward S. RENNE] was married to Miss Lottie A. PARKILL, of Keene [County], Wisconsin. They [Edward S. and Lottie A. (PARKILL) RENNE] have had three children, only one of which, Della, is living.
