WI BIO - Winnebago Co - WYLAND, W. History of Northern Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, vol II, p 1167 W. WYLAND, manufacturer of carriages and wagons, repairer of the same, and general blacksmith, was born 01 September 1843 in Elkhart [Elkhart County], Indiana. On 28 October 1864 he enlisted in Company C, Eleventh Michigan Infantry, served eleven months, and was mustered out on 28 September 1865 at Jackson [Jackson County], Michigan. Mr. WYLAND settled at Oshkosh [Winnebago County, Wisconsin] on 14 July 1871, at first working at his trade for other parties. He began in a small way for himself in 1878, but now has all the business to which he can attend. On 17 June 1874 in Oshkosh [Winnebago County, Wisconsin], he [W. WYLAND] married Miss Jennie McMILLAN, who was born in 1853 in Tioga County, New York. They [W. and Jennie (McMILLAN) WYLAND] have one son, named Levi A. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
