WI BIO - Winnebago Co - WILSON, Andrew History of Northern Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, vol II, p 1167 Andrew WILSON, lumberman, also dealer in real estate, mining lands, etc., was born in 1821 in Onondaga County, New York. He first located in Racine County, [Territory of] Wisconsin, in 1843, farmed one year, then moved to Walworth County [Territory of Wisconsin] in 1844. There he engaged in farming six years, then moved to Omro [Winnebago County], Wisconsin, and located, and engaged in the lumber business until within a few years. He also has recently completed a fine large brick building, costing about $8,000, in Omro, Wisconsin, to be used for stores and offices. Mr. WILSON has been a resident of Oshkosh [Winnebago County], Wisconsin, since October 1880. In 1868 Andrew WILSON was married in Omro [Winnebago County], Wisconsin, to Miss Julia E. HOLCOMB, who was born in Essex County, Vermont. They [Andrew and Julia E. (HOLCOMB) WILSON] have five children: (1) Harley A., now married and living in Omro, farming; (2) Myron E.; (3) Cora E., (4) Mary E., and (5) Fannie L. Mr. WILSON is a member of the Commandery Lodge of Masons. He went on a pleasure trip to California in the fall of 1875, taking his family with him and spent two years on the Pacific Coast.
