WI BIO - Winnebago Co - SILL [SILLS?], William History of Northern Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, v II, p 1183 William SILL, farmer and stock raiser, Section 9., P. O. Menasha [Winnebago County, Wisconsin], was born and reared in Otsego County, New York. In 1854 he came to Wisconsin and took up pioneer life, which he has successfully conducted since, in the meantime taking an active part in the political life of his municipality. In 1865 he [William SILL] was married to Miss Elizabeth A. STOWE, who was born and reared in Franklin County, New York. They [William and Elizabeth A. (STOWE) SILL] have a family of two sons: Edward P., and William L. Residing with the subject [William SILL] is his father, Edward P. SILL, ninety-two years of age, who was born in Connecticut, and at the age of five years went to New York. At the age of sixty-five he [Edward P. SILL] came to Wisconsin, and has lived here since.
