SHEERAR, dentist, Omro [Winnebago County], Wisconsin, was born 01 April 1840 in Virgil [Cortland County], New York. He learned his profession in Cortland [Cortland County], New York, beginning in 1859, where he remained one year. He then went to Virgil [Cortland County], New York, and began his profession at his old homestead, where he continued three years. The then went to Omro Junction, Wisconsin [in Winnebago County, about four miles west of Oshkosh], and lived one year. He then traveled and practiced, and finally located [in Omro, Wisconsin], being there from the fall of 1863 to the following spring [1864], and then went to Wausau [Marathon County], Wisconsin, and was engaged in his profession there one year. He returned to Omro Junction and practiced until 1878, then moved to Omro, and has since practiced here. On 14 November 1866 at Omro Junction [Winnebago County, Wisconsin], he [I. H. SHEERAR] was married to Miss Josephine U. BEALS, who was born 09 November 1846 in Wheatland, Walworth County [should be Kenosha County], Wisconsin [and died in 1929]. They [I. H. and Josephine U. (BEALS) SHEERAR] have one daughter, Florence, born on 02 January 1868, who died 12 June 1868 [14 June 1868, aged five months and twelve days; buried in Omro Union Cemetery, next to Omro Junction Cemetery; and a son] Frank B. SHEERAR, born 19 September 1870. Mr. SHEERAR is a member of the Knights of Honor, and the Good Templars' Lodge. He has served as a member of the City Board. [In addition to Florence SHEERAR, also buried in Omro Union Cemetery are: Dr. I. H. SHEERAR, who died in 1926; his wife Josephine U. (BEALS) SHEERAR, who died in 1929, John B.
