Jesse R. SCOTT, lumber manufacturer [Oshkosh, Winnebago County, 
Wisconsin], was born at 30 April 1830 at Calais [Washington County], 
Maine. He resided for three years in St. Lawrence County, New York, 
prior to moving to Oshkosh in August 1855. Mr. SCOTT has been engaged 
in his present business ever since he came here.

In March 1852 at Calais [Washington County], Maine, he [Jesse R. SCOTT] 
was married to [Miss?] Charlotte A. WHITE, a native of St. John, 
Province of New Brunswick. They [Jesse R. and Charlotte A. (WHITE) 
SCOTT] have five children: Lorenzo D., Frank L., Herbert C., John W., 
and Edwin C.
