D. W. ROWLAND, veterinary surgeon, was born 13 November 1852 in Racine 
County, Wisconsin, and received his schooling in Racine County. In 1871 he 
went to Chicago [Cook County, Illinois], and attended medical lectures. In 
1872 he went to Milwaukee [Milwaukee County, Wisconsin], and remained up to 
1876, under instruction from Dr. TAYLOR, with whom he practiced for a time. 
In June 1877 D. W. ROWLAND located in Oshkosh [Winnebago County, Wisconsin], 
and commenced the practice of his profession. On 03 August 1881 in Menasha 
[Winnebago County, Wisconsin], Mr. [D. W.] ROWLAND was married to Miss Emma 
S. JONES, of Menasha.
