Albert Rockwell HAZEN, White River Junction [Windsor County, Vermont], lumber 
operator, was born 20 March 1885 at Hartford [Windsor County, Vermont], son 
of Noah Bartholomew and Susan Alice (DUTTON) HAZEN. Educated at Hartford 
High School 1902, Kimball Union Academy 1903, and Dartmouth College 1907. 
Engaged in lumber and coal prospecting in the Southern states 1907-1908; 
lumber operator in Vermont 1909; loans in New York City 1910; real estate, 
White River Junction and lumber operator since 1910. Republican. 
Congregationalist. Member of Knights of Pythias, Grange, and Sigma Chi 
Fraternity.
