Galen Burch FISH, Stockbridge [Windsor County, Vermont], merchant and 
postmaster, was born 24 June 1869 at Randolph [Orange County, Vermont], son 
of Arnold Burch and Amelia (PEARSON) FISH. Educated at Randolph graded 
school; spent freshman year at Dartmouth College; graduated at the Detroit 
Training School of Elocution and English Literature. Has conducted a general 
merchandise store in Stockbridge since 1900. Republican; appointed 
postmaster 08 November 1902; served as town superintendent of schools four 
years. Member of Rural Lodge No. 29, Free & Accepted Masons, of Rochester 
[Windsor County, Vermont]. In 1900 he [Galen Burch FISH] married [Miss?] 
Lena Maude CHARMBERLAIN, of Stockbridge [Windsor County, Vermont]; they have 
a daughter, Winona Madine.
