I. Randall DOANE, physician and surgeon, Springfield [Windsor County, 
Vermont], was born 19 January 1877 at Bakersfield [Franklin County, Vermont], 
son of Bradley J. and Ellen H. (RANDALL) DOANE. Educated in Bakersfield 
public schools, Brigham Academy, and the University of Vermont Medical 
College. Our subject located at Putney [Windham County, Vermont] in 1905, 
and moved to Springfield [Windsor County, Vermont] in 1908, where he has 
since practiced his profession. Republican. In religious belief a 
Congregationalist. Member of the American Medical Association, and Vermont 
State and Windsor County Medical Societies. Is examiner for many old line 
insurance companies. Member of St. John's Lodge No. 41, Free & Accepted 
Masons, Springfield. In 1905 he [Dr. I. Randall DOANE] married [Miss?] Lucy 
Ellen WHITNEY of Putney [Windham County, Vermont]; they have two children: 
Whitney Randall and Shirley.
