Educated at the public schools; Boston Dental College, (now Tufts) D. D. S. 1876; Baltimore Medical College, M. D. 1890. Has practiced dentistry and medicine at Bethel since 1876-1890. Was director and former president of Bethel Electric Light and Power Company; member of the Whitcomb High School board several years; president of the Bethel Board of Trade; one of the organizers of the Vermont State Dental Society, and has held every office, including president; member Northeastern Dental Society; member State Board of Dental Examiners for eighteen years. Republican; represented Bethel in the Legislature 1900; vice president National Republican League 1894-1895. Universalist. Past member White River Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons; member Whiting Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Randolph; Mt. Zion Commandery, Knights Templar; Mt. Sinai Temple, and was a delegate to the Imperial Council at Los Angeles in 1907. In 1879 he [Rolla Miner CHASE] married [Miss?] Susan Elizabeth NEWELL of Bethel.
