Locke Harwood BUGBEE, Putney [Windham County, Vermont], physician, was born 11 January 1874 in Pomfret [Windsor County, Vermont], son of Justin and Abbie (DANA) BUGBEE. Educated in Pomfret public school, and graduated from Dartmouth Medical College, class of 1902. Practiced medicine in Meriden [Sullivan County], New Hampshire, 1902-1903; Quechee [Windsor County, Vermont], 1905-1907, and at Putney since 1907. Republican. Overseer of the poor, and health officer of Putney since 1909. Worshipful master of Golden Rule Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons; member Putney Grange, and Junior Order United American Mechanics.
