ATWOOD, hotel keeper and livestock dealer, Woodstock [Windsor County, Vermont], was born 04 February 1863 in Barnard [Windsor County, Vermont], son of Alvin O. and Waitstell L. (SHURTLEFF) ATWOOD. He was educated in the public schools. In 1893 married [Miss?] Carrie A. WILDER of Woodstock [Vermont]. He engaged in farming at Woodstock previous to 1905, when he purchased the Commerical House, Woodstock, which he has thoroughly overhauled and made into an up-to-date hostelry.
