Burlington: Ullery, 1912, p 96 Placide Ephraim ADAMS, contractor and builder, White River Junction [Windsor County, Vermont], was born 01 November 1878 in Lebanon [Grafton County, New Hampshire], son of Ephraim and Fannie (ROBERTS) ADAMS. At an early age moved with his parents to Canaan, Grafton County, New Hampshire. He was educated in the public schools there and in Franklin, New Hampshire. Mr. ADAMS learned the carpenter's trade, and in 1909 formed, with his brother, the firm of P. E. & B. F. Adams, builders and contractors, with a business which covers Vermont and New Hampshire. In 1904 Placide Ephraim ADAMS married Agnes RAYMOND of White River Junction. They have three children: Ephraim Luke, Sarah Esther, and Robert Placide. Mr. ADAMS is a Democrat, and a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He is also a member of White River Junction Camp, Modern Woodmen of America; and Richelieu Court, Catholic Order of Foresters, of Lebanon, New Hampshire.
