Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, pp 93-94 Benjamin Franklin ADAMS, builder, contractor and lumber dealer, White River Junction [Windsor County, Vermont], was born in Canaan [Grafton County, New Hampshire], 21 September 1883, and was a son of Ephraim and Philomine (ROBERTS) ADAMS. He was educated in the public schools of White River Junction. In 1908 Benjamin Franklin ADAMS married Grace LaPORTE of Lebanon, Grafton County, New Hampshire. He was a telegraph operator for ten years for Central Vermont, New York, New Haven & Hartford, and Boston & Maine Railroads. In October of 1908, in company with his brother he formed the building, contracting, and lumber dealing firm of P. E. & B. F. Adams, with office and plant at White River Junction. He was a member of [p 94] St. Anthony's Catholic Church in White River Junction [Windsor County, Vermont]. Fraternally he was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
