He [Charles H. GROUT] was educated in the public schools of Leland and Gray Seminary. Mr. GROUT taught several terms of school. In 1902 he bought the general merchandise store business of Barber Brothers, which he has since conducted. Republican; was a representative in the Vermont Legislature in 1894 and 1910. Is a trustee of Jamaica Savings Bank [Windham County, Vermont]. Is a member of Sons of American Revolution, Patrons of Husbandry, and the Independent Order of Good Templars. In 1894 he [Charles H. GROUT] married [Miss?] Flora Marcia EDDY of Newfane [Windham County, Vermont]; they had four children: (1) Paul Harold; (2) Gerald Edwin, deceased; (3) Ethelyn Charlotte; and (4) Carl Richard Eddy, deceased.
