Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 174-175 Adelbert Admiral DUNKLEE, farmer, Vernon, was born 10 April 1863 at Vernon [Windham County, Vermont], son of Nelson and Orsaline (STODDARD) DUNKLEE. Educated at Vernon public schools, and at Powers Institute, Bernardston [Franklin County], Massachusetts. Taught school in Chesterfield [Cheshire County], New Hampshire, and at Westminster [Windham County], Vermont, four terms, then took charge of his father's farm at Vernon, which he purchased two years later, and where he has carried on quite an extensive dairy business ever since. Republican; represented Vernon in the Legislature 1902; superintendent of schools three years; member of the school board ten years and chairman for several years past; town treasurer for past fourteen years; justice of the peace for twenty-two years; selectman, road commissioner and lister several times. Member of Advent Christian Church of South Vernon [Windham County, Vermont]; treasurer of the church several years; superintendent of the Sunday school more than twenty years. Was the first master of the State Line Grange of South Vernon. In 1886 Mr. [Adelbert Admiral] DUNKLEE married [Miss?] Florence Esther BROWN of Vernon; they have three children: Louella Florence (Mrs. C. S.
