DALY, lawyer, Brattleboro [Windham County, Vermont], was born 05 May 1879 at Bennington [Chittenden County, Vermont], son of John P. and Sarah (DUNN) DALY. Educated in the public schools. Studied law in the office of Barber & Darling, Bennington; admitted to Vermont bar 1900; practiced law in Bennington until March 1907, at which time he removed to Brattleboro and formed a partnership with Charles S. CHASE, under the firm name of Chase & Daly. Republican; was special prosecuting officer of Bennington Village 1902; states attorney Bennington County 1904-1906; appointed judge of Brattleboro municipal court March 1911. Congregationalist. Member Columbian Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons, of Brattleboro. In 1901 our subject [William R.
