Seeking the parentage of Sarah Maria Dimock, born Oct 14 1828, at time of marriage it says born Willington, but when she had children she states Mansfield. She married Enoch C. Coleman in 1851 in Mansfield, CT and died April 26, 1886 in Brookfield, MA. On her death certificate it only states Mr & Mrs Dimock for her parents. At time of marriage she was living with Gardner & Julia Reynolds in the Eagle Section of Mansfield. Any information on this family would be most appreciated.

On August 5, 1865 Pauline W. Coleman (his wife) purchased land from Delight Baxter also in Mansfield, but they had been living in Willington, CT. This couple had the following children Enoch C. b 1826, birth of all children says in Colchester, CT; William H. or Henry H. b 1829, m Emeline B. Franklin, died 22 March 1855, Emeline his wife died 4 Nov. 1851 ae 20; Samuel O. d Nov. 11, 1862 Mansfield, CT; Daniel A. died May 29, 1858 Mansfield; & Harriet twin of Enoch died Dec. 6, 1851. Most of these people died of T.B. Any help would be most appreciated.

I am seeking any information on the family of William BUFFINGTON in Willington. Possibly he married a Miss Pearl and had two sons; William and Oliver. After his early death his widow married a Fuller and moved to New York State. I am attempting to find a possible connection from him to a Thomas Buffington III of Killingly, Ct. Trying to find information on the HEWITT family of Willington, Connecticut. Daniel married Sarah Tyler about 1790 in Willington. Sarah was the daughter of Bradstreet Tyler and was previously married to a Mr. FAY. She had at least one child by this marriage, Simeon born (?). Daniel HEWITT had a previous wife. It is believed that she was killed at the Wyoming Valley Masacre in July of 1778. Daniel was a seargent in Dennisons Connecticut Militia. Would love to hear from anyone with further information on any of the above family names.Regards

My great-grandmother, Lilly Mae LEACH, was born in Willington, CT. The
only thing that I know about her is the year of her birth, 1868. She later
married and lived in Dayton, Ohio, the wife of Mathew Jacob SHULTZ. Her date of
death was 1 July 1933. I am looking for any information about her birth and
family in Willington.

She was put into an orphanage with her 3 sisters one named May and her one
brother, George, after her mother died (American Indian) and her father
remarried. She was taken in by a family named Carpenter (?) and put to work at
the American Thread Mill at age 13 She meet my grandfather Horace McKinney they
had seven children together. Edwin, Lester, Caroline, Hazel, Sarah, George,
Frank & Raymond.

1795 marriage record of a Lucinda Balch b 1772 to (Israel Balch & Sarah Arnold}
married to William Cushman b.Mar 1772.They may have been married in Mansfield or
Stafford CT or Willington CT.Balch record said they had 9 children and that she
died in Willington. No death date or where she was burried.I have been looking a
long time for this marriage.Some of the children were William died in
Belchertown, MA, Harry, Henry, George died in New Britain CT. 18 Sep 1892
burried in Fairview cem. in New Britain.There also was at least one sister named
Angeline.

moved to Berlin Twp., Erie Co., OH. Oliver died 1835 in OH. Their children are:
Oliver S., Ancil H., Addison, William, Marilla, Jerome, Emeline, Harriet and
Albert. I descend through daughter Marilla who married Stewart YOUNGS.
