WIGGENHORN, manufacturer of cigars; was born in Prussia June 6, 1828, and came to Wisconsin Oct. 19,. 1848, locating in Watertown; he learned the jeweler’s trade in Prussia, and at the age of 20 years, together with his father and other members of the family, came to America, landing at New York City, and the following October went to Watertown, where, for a time, he assisted his father, who bought out the Buena Vista Hotel; in 1856, he went into the general merchandise business in Hustisford, Dodge Co., which business he continued for seven years; in 1864, he spent one year at farming, after which he entered into copartnership with his brother Eugene in the tobacco business, in which they are largely engaged, in the manufacture of cigars; in 1857, he was Supervisor of Dodge Co; in 1858, he was Treasurer of Hustisford, and in 1854, was clerk in the Post Office at Watertown.
