HENRY VAUDEL, liquor dealer; born in Mecklenburg, Germany, Dec. 31, 1816; came to Milwaukee in 1851; came to Watertown in 1855; engaged in grocery business five or six years; afterward, for four or five years in the grain and milling business; carried on distillery for about eight years, at the same time dealing in liquors and wines; still carries on the business of liquor and wine merchant. In 1851, Mr. Vaudel was married, in Milwaukee, to Mary Viegner; they have two children – Adolph and Henry. Mr. Vaudel was Alderman of the Sixth Ward two years.
