ABNER HATCH  was born October 22, 1726 in Tolland, Tolland County, CT, and died January 02, 1805 in Tolland, Tolland County, CT.  He was the son of Eddy Hatch, born August 2, 1700, in Falmouth, Massachusetts.  His mother was named Sarah - her maiden name is unknown at this time.  Abner was a farmer and taught school.  He married ABIGAIL LOOMIS November 05, 1747 in Tolland, Tolland County, CT, daughter of SOLOMON LOOMIS and ABIGAIL STRONGE.  She was born April 18, 1728, and died November 17, 1773 in Tolland, Tolland County, CT.
Both ABNER HATCH and ABIGAIL LOOMIS are buried in the Skungamaug Cemetery, Tolland, CT.

THEODOCIUS FENTON was born December 03, 1834 in Corinth, Saratoga County, NY, and died March 08, 1909 in Burke, Franklin County, NY.  He married SARAH M. LEWIS April 18, 1855 in Corinth, Saratoga County, NY.  She was born April 03, 1834, and died June 26, 1908 in Burke, Franklin County, NY.
Notes for THEODOCIUS FENTON:
Civil War Veteran, Military service: Bet. August 23, 1864 - June 07, 1865, enlisted at Bangor, NY
Union Army, 98th NY Inf., Co. D

Read a two page letter from Theodocius to Sarah written on September 16, 1864 from City Point, Virginia, page 1 and page 2, and the Envelope in which it was delivered.

Theodocius Fenton made several attempts, over a period of 18 years to gain a pension for his Civil War service before finally succeeding on February 23, 1907.  Three selected documents from his file are available at this site.  The first is a Signature Form completed and signed by Theodocius on November 8, 1897.  The second is a General Affidavit filed and signed by his wife, Sarah M. (Lewis) Fenton, on April 22, 1893.  The third is a Declaration for an Original Invalid Pension completed and signed by Theodocius on October 12, 1889.
