FRED STYLOW, shoemaker, born in Prussia Jan. 24, 1828; commenced shoemaker’s trade when only 14 years of age; came to America and located in Watertown in 1856. Married in Germany to Mary Wruck Feb. 17, 1853; she is a native of Prussia; they have three children – Albert, Louise and Minnie. Mr. Stylow has represented the Second Ward twice in the Common Council. He is a member of the I.O.O.F., Workmen’s Society, Hook and Ladder Company, and is one of the Trustees of the Fire Department.
