Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, vol II, p 996 Fritz ROSENTHAL, grocer, Sheboygan [Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, was born 08 April 1829 in Germany, and was employed as a drayman in that country. He came to America in 1853, and to Wisconsin in 1853, and located at Sheboygan. He was employed in various capacities for some years, then as a drayman for fifteen years, three years of which he was also farming. He also owned and ran the schooner "Liberty" on Lake Michigan for some time. He commenced his present business in the autumn of 1875, and has conducted it since. On 03 September 1854 at Sheboygan [Sheboygan County, Wisconsin] he [Fritz ROSENTHAL] was married to Ernestine KUCK [a maiden name?], who was born in Germany. They [Fritz and Ernestine ROSENTHAL] have ten children: Louis, Frank, Fred, Otto, Emma, Laura, Elizabeth, Ida, Annie, and Hattie. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
