WI BIO - Sheboygan Co - ROBINSON, Henry J. History of Northern Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, vol II, p 1019 Henry J. ROBINSON, farmer, Section 25, P. O. Waldo [Lyndon Township, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin], was born 28 September 1824 in New York State, son of Noah and Huld [Hulda?] ROBINSON, who came to [the Territory of] Wisconsin in 1847, and settled in Sherman Township, Sheboygan County. [Wisconsin became a State 29 May 1848.] Henry J. ROBINSON's parents were very poor when they settled in Wisconsin, the subject of this sketch and his brother chopping cordwood for 50 cents per cord, and only receiving one-fourth cash, the balance in provisions, etc. Noah ROBINSON died 18 September 1860. Huld [Hulda?] ROBINSON died in February 1879. In 1855 he [Henry J. ROBINSON] was married to Miss Mary E. BALDWIN, daughter of Eliarda and Susan BALDWIN, who were from New York, and among the first settlers in Sherman Township. Henry J. and Mary E. (BALDWIN) ROBINSON have one son, Eliarda B. Henry J. ROBINSON remained on the home farm until 1853. He then bought a farm for himself. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
