WI BIO - Sheboygan Co - ROBERTS, Hervey E. History of Northern Wisconsin. Chicago: Western Historical, 1881, vol II, p 996 Hervey E. ROBERTS, shipping clerk for George B. Mattoon furniture factory, Sheboygan [Sheboygan County, Wisconsin], was born 19 February 1858 in Milwaukee [Milwaukee County], Wisconsin, a son of J. H. ROBERTS, who is in charge of the Sheboygan Pier Light. In 1862 Hervey E. ROBERTS went with his parents to Chicago [Cook County], Illinois, and resided there for nine years. He came to Sheboygan Falls [Sheboygan County, Wisconsin] in 1871. Hervey E. ROBERTS was employed in the drug business in 1872 and part of 1873. He was then employed on steamboats on Lake Michigan for some four years. Afterward Mr. ROBERTS was employed with the Goodrich Transportation Company as clerk in a warehouse for three years.
