Simon A. RICKMEIER, [proprietor of a] cheese factory, [Sheboygan County, 
Wisconsin], was born 17 December 1855 in Sheboygan Falls [Sheboygan County, 
Wisconsin], a son of Simon RICHMEIR [note different spelling or typo in 
printed text], who settled in Sheboygan Falls in 1853.

At the age of eighteen years he [Simon A. RICKMEIER] learned the carpenter 
trade, and was employed at it some four years. He was then employed in a 
cheese factory for one year. He [Simon A. RICHMEIER] has been engaged in his 
present business since fall of 1878. He manufactures about nine thousand 
pounds of cheese per month.
