REYSEN one of the proprietors of the Rock Flouring Mills, who also deal in grain and produce (the other being Benjamin F. HEALD), Sheboygan Falls [Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, was born in 1831 in Germany, and learned the milling trade there. John H. REYSEN came to America in 1852, and previous to coming to Wisconsin, was engaged in a mercantile capacity in the East. Mr. REYSEN came to Wisconsin in 1854, and located at Sheboygan Falls. He was employed for some two years in a grist mill, and afterward was engaged in the flour and feed business in partnership with E. BATCHELDER for a few months. Mr. REYSEN was engaged in the flouring mill business in different parts of Wisconsin up to May 1880, when he joined Mr. [Benjamin F.] HEALD. The mill [Rock Flouring Mills] has a capacity of some fifty barrels per day. In November 1855 at Sheboygan Falls [Sheboygan County, Wisconsin], he [John H. REYSEN] was married to [Miss?] Flora ENGLEMEYER, who was born in Germany. They [John H. and Flora REYSEN] have eight children: Henry, Dora, Emma, Walter, George, Flora, Albert, and Matilda.
