Seward, was born in New Haven Co., Conn., July 14, 1818; came to Wisconsin in 1846, located in Aztalan; engaged in farming, and worked as carpenter and joiner in 1849; went to Jefferson City, and worked at his trade two years; returned to his farm. He has been Superintendent of Schools, and has held several local offices, and been Deacon of the Congregational Church twenty years. Married, in New Haven Co., Conn., M. E.
