Rome; born in Kerry Co., Ireland, in 1838; came to America in 1846, with his father, David Scollard, locating in Sullivan, where he has since lived; he settled on the farm he now owns of 226-2/3 acres in 1864. Mr. Scollard is a Democrat, and has held the office of Supervisor three terms; he is a Catholic; is raising cattle, hogs and Black Cloud horses; owns four of the latter at the present time.
