Palmyra; born in Norway Nov. 25, 1832; he spent his early life and was educated in Norway; came to America with his brother, Ole, in 1848, locating in Palmyra, where he was in the grocery business twelve years; he settled on the farm he now owns of 280 acres in 1865. Married Miss Ann Oleson May 15, 1856; they have eight children - Samuel, Mary A., Tilda, Jane, Louisa, Sophia, Clara and Otto. Mr. Saukerson is a Republican, and a member, with his family, of the Lutheran Church.
