Guy Bertram HORTON, Burlington [Chittenden County, Vermont], lawyer, was born 
01 December 1875 at North Clarendon [Rutland County, Vermont], son of Bent 
Earl and Ella (GOOLD) HORTON. [GOOLD a text typo for GOULD?] Educated at 
Rutland English and Classical Institute, Rutland; Middlebury College, A. B. 
1900; A. M. 1901; and University of Michigan College of Law 1906. In charge 
of department of political science and history, Middlebury College, 
1902-1903; compiled and edited, with Robert ROBERTS, the Vermont Digest 
1901-1902, 1903-1910; compiled and edited the Annotated Continuation of the 
Vermont Digest 1910-1911; compiled the Vermont Citations, 1911; in law 
partnership with Henry B. SHAW under the firm name of Shaw & Horton since 
1911; lecturer on law, Middlebury College 1912. Independent Republican. 
Member of the Baptist Church. In 1901 [Guy Bertram HORTON] married [Miss?] 
Florence Ida BUSHEE of Rutland [Rutland County, Vermont].
