Educated in the public schools and Collegiate Institute, Fort Edward [Washington County], New York. Has been agent for Vermont Fire Insurance Company for thirty years. Republican. Represented West Haven in the state Legislature 1906; senator from Rutland County 1910; has held most of the town offices; at present town clerk and treasurer. Congregationalist. Member of West Haven Grange; a director of Rutland County Agricultural Society.
