Willard Ashton FRASIER, Rutland [Rutland County, Vermont], educator, was born 
05 June 1853 in Lockport [Will County], Illinois, son of James R. and 
Elizabeth A. (BROWN) FRASIER. Educated at Independent College, Plainfield 
[Will County], Illinois; Spencerian Business College, Cleveland [Cuyahoga 
County], Ohio; and Oberlin College, Oberlin [Lorain County], Ohio. Began 
teaching in the district school, Kipton [Lorain County], Ohio; was assistant 
principal Richland County Normal School, Mansfield [Richland County], Ohio; 
principal of Scientific and Business Institute, Mansfield, Ohio; director 
Commercial Department, Troy Conference Academy, Poultney [Rutland County, 
Vermont]; principal Graded School, Poultney; assistant principal Drake's 
Business College, Jersey City [Hudson County], New Jersey; and superintendent 
of school, Rutland [Rutland County, Vermont]. Republican. In religious 
belief a Congregationalist. In 1887 he [Willard Ashton FRASIER] married 
[Miss?] Jennie E. CLARK, of Poultney [Rutland County, Vermont]; they had four 
children: Ruth Lucia, Herma Clark, Willard Ashton Jr., and Marquita Frances.
