John Wesley ESTABROOK, physician and surgeon, Brandon [Rutland County, 
Vermont], was born 13 June 1871 at Sherburne [Rutland County, Vermont], son 
of Andrew F. and Augusta P. (BARR) ESTABROOK. Educated at the State Normal 
School, and at the University of Vermont, medical department, 1895, and also 
at New York Post Graduate School. Practiced medicine in Pittsford [Rutland 
County], from 1896 to 1898; has practiced at Brandon since 1898. Is surgeon 
for the Rutland Railroad. Republican. Congregationalist. Member of St. 
Paul's Lodge No. 25, Free & Accepted Masons; Farmer Chapter No. 10, Royal 
Arch Masons; Mt. Calvary Commandery; Cairo Temple, Order Mystic Shrine. 
Member of Vermont State and Rutland County Medical Societies. In 1903 Dr. 
[John Wesley] ESTABROOK married [Miss?] Louise SEELEY of Delhi [Delaware 
County], New York; they have two children: Viola Estabrook, and John Seeley.
