Jeremiah C. DURICK, insurance and real estate, Fair Haven [Rutland County, 
Vermont], was born 18 September 1869 at Castleton [Rutland County, Vermont], 
son of John and Helen (COPPS) DURICK. Educated in the public schools of 
Castleton; and Albany, New York, Commercial College. When a boy learned the 
trade of marble cutting. For the past fifteen years he has conducted a 
general insurance business in Castleton and Fair Haven. Democrat; 
represented Castleton in the Legislature 1902 and 1904; member of railroad 
committee 1902 and subcommittee of senate and house which drew the law 
reorganizing the railroad commission; has been constable and tax collector, 
Fair Haven, since 1908. Roman Catholic; member Knights of Columbus; was the 
first grand knight of Fair Haven Council No. 810, which office he held for 
five consecutive terms. Member of Prospect Grange No. 429, of Fair Haven. 
In 1905 Mr. [Jeremiah C.] DURICK married [Miss?] Mary A. BREMEN of Fair 
Haven; they have two daughters, Mary Helen and Margaret.
