Dan CARMODY, merchant, Fair Haven [Rutland County, Vermont], was born 19 
September 1860 at West Rutland [Rutland County, Vermont], son of Patrick and 
Mary (DAVINE) CARMODY. Educated at the West Rutland public schools. Has 
conducted a general clothing store in partnership with J. H. POLLARD at Fair 
Haven since 1896. Democrat; has been police justice for sixteen years; is a 
member of school board and trustee of the library; is chairman of the Rutland 
County Democratic committee; and a member of the Democratic state committee. 
Member of the Roman Catholic church. In 1894 Mr. [Dan] CARMODY married 
[Miss?] Mary A. BARRETT of Saratoga [Saratoga County], New York. They have 
three children: Michael Barrett, Patrick Arthur, and Daniel Francis.
