Educated in the public schools, graduating at Kansas Medical College. Followed farming in Kansas for five years, then decorating and painting until he began the practice of medicine in 1898; has been in general practice since in Pittsford, Shrewsbury, and Rutland [all in Rutland County, Vermont]. Republican; represented Shrewsbury in the Legislature 1900. Methodist; member of the Masonic fraternity. In 1878 he [William Ripley BLOSSOM] married [Miss?] Josephine CRANE of South Cedar [Jackson County], Kansas. They have five children: Elsie C., Ethel C., Frank O., Fay E., and Wilma J.
