EATON, lumber manufacturer, Bradford [Orange County, Vermont], was born 27 August 1878 at Danville [Caledonia County, Vermont], son of George E. and Josephine (WALKER) EATON. Educated at St. Johnsbury Academy. Was in business in a general store in Bradford from 1901 to 1903, and has been in the lumber business since that time; is director in the Bradford National Bank. Republican; has held most of the important town and village offices; represented Bradford in the Legislature, 1910. In religious preference Episcopalian. Member of Charity Lodge No. 43, Free & Accepted Masons; Mt. Lebanon Chapter No. 13, Royal Arch Masons; Palestine Commandery No. 5, Knights Templar; and Mt. Sinai Temple, Mystic Shrine.
