Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 122 Edwin Oscar BLANCHARD, dental surgeon, Randolph [Orange County, Vermont], was born 26 April 1862 at Plainfield [Washington County, Vermont], son of Dr. George Dudley and Ellen (BLOOD) BLANCHARD. Educated at Randolph High School, Norwich University, and Boston Dental College, graduated in 1885. He began the study of dentistry in his father's office; also practiced in the office of Dr. D. G. WILLIAMS, Boston; at the death of his father he succeeded to the practice in Randolph, continuing to date. In 1886 he [Edwin Oscar BLANCHARD] married [Miss?] Mary Alice GAY of Randolph; they have an adopted daughter, Helen Gay. Republican; president of Randolph board of trade three years; has been president and several times on the executive committee of Vermont State Dental Society; appointed by Governor BELL to act on state board of dental examiners; reappointed by Governor PROCTOR; reappointed by Governor MEAD; still holding the position as president of the board.
