Married Miss Margaret Anderson, of Palmyra, Nov. 17, 1859; they have seven children (**see footnote) – Joseph, Oscar J., Jacob, Isaac, Samuel, Clara, May and Ada L. Miss Josie has taught several terms of school in Jefferson, Walworth and Adams Cos. Mr. Oleson is a Republican, and the family are members of the Lutheran Church, of which Mr. O. has been Trustee and Director. **footnote: there seem to be eight possibly nine children listed in the biography even though the text states “seven children”.
