Busseyville; born in Derbyshire, England, in October, 1828; lived on a farm; received a common-school education. He is the son of Thomas North; came with his father to Wisconsin; located and bought a farm in Albion, Dane Co., of 206 acres of wild land, on which they made all necessary improvements. Thomas, Jr., married in Albion, July 4, 1852, Miss Sarah Bielsford, who was born near Paris, France, in 1835; they have eight children, all are living – Mary J., Charles E., David W., Emily E., Thomas, Sarah A., Ellen M., Frederick A. In 1853, he purchased 180 acres in Section 18; also eighty-one acres in Albion, Dane Co.; moved to his present residence in 1862; raises a variety of crops; Durham-grade cows, thoroughbred Durham bull, Poland-China and Berkshire hogs and sheep.
