Township, Jefferson Co., Wis., in 1855; attended Whitewater Normal 
School eighteen months and Madison University fourteen months.  
Married, August, 1878, Miss Louisa, daughter of John and Mary 
(Gottlieb) Krebs.  Manages 328 acres of land for his father, who resides 
in Whitewater.  Liberal in religion; Republican.
