Hebron; born in Glasgow, Scotland, May 23, 1845; came to America the same year, with his parents, John and Julia A. McFarlane; settled on the farm now owned by the brothers John and George McFarlane, of 180 acres; Mr. McFarlane has spent his life in Jefferson Co., and was educated at Milton; he has taught eleven terms of school in Jefferson Co.; taught the village school in Rome during fall and winter of 1877-78.
