Christiana, Dane Co.; was born in Sumner Township on Jan. 7, 1855; son of Peter and Gro Larson; the former was born in Norway Sept. 15, 1813. Married, in Congsberg, June, 1842, Gro Torysen, also a native of Norway; they have had twelve children, ten living – Martha M., Gertrude S., Ann, Louisa, Louis, Tory Olnes, Jacob, Charlie, Peter O., Gustav A. His parents came direct to Wisconsin in 1842; located and bought, in Sumner Township, a farm of 200 acres; Charles and Louis assisted in the working of the farm till the spring of 1879, when they together bought 170 acres of land, the latter 100 acres which they have worked very successfully.
