Admitted to the Vermont bar 1894; has since been engaged in law practice in Morrisville. Republican; town clerk and treasurer, Morristown; represented Morristown in the Vermont Legislature 1900; presidential elector 1900; messenger to carry Vermont's electoral vote to Washington 1901; secretary of state 1902-1908; state's attorney Lamoille County 1898-1900.
