William Asahel BEEBE, teacher, Morrisville [Lamoille County, Vermont], was 
born 14 April 1864 in Malone [Franklin County], New York, son of Asahel P. 
and Helen (BELL) BEEBE. Graduated from Franklin Academy, Malone, New York, 
1884, and University of Vermont with degree of A. B. 1889. Was principal of 
Brushton High School, Brushton [Franklin County], New York, 1884-1888; has 
been principal People's Academy, Morrisville, since 1889; under his 
principalship the academy has held a high rank among the secondary schools of 
Vermont. Examiner of teachers for Lamoille County 1892-1898 and 1902-1910; 
member of Vermont Schoolmasters' Club and the executive committee of State 
Teachers' Association 1901-1904; president of the Association 1904-1905; 
director since 1905; has been active in teachers' institutes, summer schools, 
and other educational meetings. Member of Congregational Church. Member of 
Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. In 1891 he [William Asahel BEEBE] married 
[Miss?] Cora F. MUDGETT of Cambridge [Lamoille County, Vermont]; they had two 
children, Ralph M. (deceased) and Edwin M.
