Educated in the public schools, and People's Academy, Morrisville [Lamoille County]. Was engaged in carpentry in different Vermont towns for several years; since 1873 has followed the occupation of farmer. Republican. Represented Elmore in the Legislature, 1904; has served as lister, town grand juror, and selectman. An attendant of the Methodist Church.
