John Q. WRIGHT, farmer, Belmont Township [Lafayette County], was born 30 
November 1853 in Belmont Township, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. His father 
came to this locality about 1839, and died 22 February 1878, aged 68 years. 
They [John Q. and his mother?] own about 1,700 acres of land, part of which 
he [John Q. WRIGHT's father] entered. John Q. WRIGHT's mother [remarried or 
still Mrs. --- WRIGHT?], who was born in Ohio, lives on the old homestead.

In 1875 he [John Q. WRIGHT] married Miss Mary A. PEGG, who was born in 
Lafayette County [Wisconsin]. They [John Q. and Mary A. (PEGG) WRIGHT] have 
two children: (1) Mary E., and (2) Leo. [Note that no date of birth is 
given for John Q. WRIGHT's mother. Her place of birth was therefore probably 
obtained from a census. Submitter did not seek or view primary or other 
records to substantiate or supplement information given in this sketch.]
