Justus RIECHERS, farmer, Section 26, Town of Elk Grove, Lafayette County, 
Wisconsin, P. O. Belmont [north of Elk Grove], was born 25 October 1847 in 
Hanover, Germany. In 1865 he came with his parents to Grant County 
[Wisconsin]. The following year [1866] he came to his present farm. He owns 
160 acres of land, which he has improved.

In 1873 he [Justus RIECHERS] married Minnie ENGELKE [a maiden name?], who was 
born in Hanover, Germany. They [Justus Minnie RIECHERS] have three children: 
Henry, Sophia, and Mary. Mr. RIECHERS he has been Town Treasurer three 
years, is Chairman of the town board, and Treasurer of the school board. 
[Justus RIECHERS is listed (p 605) as Treasurer for the Town of Elk Grove for 
1876, 1877, and 1878, and Chairman of the town board for 1880.]
